What were you doing before joining ZenGroup?

I was working in accounting for a company in the music industry.

Why did you decide to apply to ZenGroup?

I was interested in the growing cross-border e-commerce market in Japan, as highlighted in various online articles and magazines. I wanted to work in a global environment.

How would you describe the workplace environment at ZenGroup?

It’s a comfortable environment with no unnecessary overtime. We also have other nice small perks like free nuts and coffee.

Which part of your personality do you think fits well with ZenGroup?

The flexible time system and the abundance of paid leave, makes it easy to take long vacations. This aligns with my desire to maintain a healthy work life balance.

What is the most enjoyable part of working at ZenGroup?

I enjoy the fresh insights into Japanese culture I get from interacting with colleagues and customers from various countries. It’s always exciting to discover something new.

Would you recommend working at ZenGroup to your friends? Why?

Yes, because it’s a growing company where it’s easy to take on new challenges and enjoy your work.

Can you describe your work, including your team and colleagues?

In a nutshell, I handle financial operations like payroll, payments to external vendors, and refunds to customers. We divide labor-intensive tasks among the team, and there’s a supportive structure where colleagues handle my tasks when I’m on leave.

Do you have any memorable experiences where your colleagues supported or cooperated with you?

We have a system where we support each other’s tasks when taking paid leave. My coworkers also make an effort to ensure everyone is taking time off.

When you think of ZenGroup, what word comes to mind?

I would say diversity and respect.

What do you think is the appeal of ZenGroup?

From an employee’s perspective, the consistent efforts to create a comfortable working environment are great. Additionally, the opportunity to help Japanese companies with limited knowledge of international markets expand their sales channels offers a sense of accomplishment.

Are there any unique benefits, growth opportunities, or work-life balance initiatives at ZenGroup that you find attractive?

I really appreciate the free provision of nuts (a treat I wouldn’t usually buy despite their health benefits due to their cost in Japan.). Also, the opportunity to attend face-to-face English classes here in the head office is also an attractive feature.
