What were you doing before joining ZenGroup?

I was a vocational student. I joined ZenGroup during a break in my studies.

Why did you decide to apply to ZenGroup?

I joined as a part-time staff member. The chance to interact with various products and people from different countries seemed fun, so I applied.

How would you describe the workplace environment at ZenGroup?

It’s a free and respectful workplace, which I can say is not exactly common in Japanese companies.

Which part of your personality do you think fits well with ZenGroup?

I’m not very good at doing the same thing repeatedly, so an environment like ZenGroup, where there are new challenges and growth opportunities every day, suits me.

What is the most enjoyable part of working at ZenGroup?

It’s fun to interact with people from various countries, which is not something I can usually do in my daily life.

Would you recommend working at ZenGroup to your friends? Why?

Yes, I would recommend it. There are many paid leave days available, so you can have time for your personal life, and most importantly, it’s fun to work here.

Can you describe your work, including your team and colleagues?

I manage the progress of packaging, supervise the part-time staff’s shifts, and oversee the picking and packing operations. I also handle ticket responses when issues arise.

Do you have any memorable experiences where your colleagues supported or cooperated with you?

At one point in time I struggled with the management of part-time staff and considered quitting. However, the advice and support I received from my colleagues were very helpful and I was able to work through my troubles.

When you think of ZenGroup, what word comes to mind?

Challenging.

What do you think is the appeal of ZenGroup?

I would say it is the “fun” aspect of working here. Unlike companies with only Japanese staff, the employees here are from different nationalities and have different ways of thinking, making it a exciting and enjoyable environment unlike any other.

Are there any unique benefits, growth opportunities, or work-life balance initiatives at ZenGroup that you find attractive?

The abundance of paid leave, allowing for one to two weeks of long vacations, is very great. Everyone has significant care about their work, which is motivating and I feel a sense of responsibility, and have opportunities for daily growth. Besides paid leave and the employees, the flex system is well-established, allowing for a good balance between work and personal life.
