What were you doing before joining ZenGroup?

I worked for an electronics manufacturer, and I was responsible for international sales/marketing and global supply chain management.

Why did you decide to apply to ZenGroup?

I thought I could make use of my previous experience in a growing company with a strong global envionment. – working with integrators such as UPS and FedEX to build systems for direct customer delivery.

How would you describe the workplace environment at ZenGroup?

The IT environment is well organized, and I can work freely and openly. In particular, the main infrastructure system used within the company is developed in-house, so any problems or requests are always taken care of and corrected.

Which part of your personality do you think fits well with ZenGroup?

The part where I work steadily and steadily at my own pace. In the field, I can be entrusted with work, and I can always challenge myself to work on something new and different from the way I have been doing things, and to improve.

What is the most enjoyable part of working at ZenGroup?

When there are no delays in receiving/waiting for packing and seeing the part-timers working in the office cheerful and enthusiastic.

At the distribution center, we play FM music radio and have many staff members. I like our atmosphere because I can easily talk to everyone (and sometimes share a laugh with the team) as I go around the the logistics site.

Would you recommend working at ZenGroup to your friends? Why?

I would recommend ZenGroup to anyone who can relate to our work and company culture.

It is very rewarding to be connected with our overseas customers and to hear their voices directly. I feel especially happy and proud when I hear that our products have arrived safely and they are happy with them.

Can you describe your work, including your team and colleagues?

The receiving team inspects and confirms the products that arrive at the distribution center, the packing team wraps the products with cushioning materials and cardboard boxes to prevent them from being damaged, and the packing team attaches invoices and invoices to the packed parcels and sends them out. This is a job that requires the cooperation and management of each team member.

Do you have any memorable experiences where your colleagues supported or cooperated with you?

Overall, the teams here at the warehouse give eachother a helping hand. When a large number of packages were delivered to our warehouse, the packing team members helped out with receiving team. And vice versa, when there were many parcels to be packed and shipped out, the receiving team members chipped in to help out the packing team.

There once was a time when a large number of packages were delayed, so members of the packing team took turns working the night shift (18:00-21:00) and were able to restore normal operations in a short period of time.

When you think of ZenGroup, what word comes to mind?

I would say that one word is “Global.” ZenGroup has multinational staff working in an unique multilingual environment to deliver Japan to the world.

What do you think is the appeal of ZenGroup?

The fact that we are constantly growing and diversifying our services to expand our cross-border EC business is very appealing. Also, the fact that ZenGroup has a global mindset, listens to the opinions of their staff, and constantly strives for progress and improvement is very appealing to me.

Are there any unique benefits, growth opportunities, or work-life balance initiatives at ZenGroup that you find attractive?

The encouragement from staff members to actually use paid holidays is great. As long as I can coordinate with other members, I can take a day off any time. Also, I can take 10 half days off (half-day paid holidays) per year, which is very helpful when I need to go to a government office or hospital.

In addition, there are many events being held, giving many opportunities to meet with employees from different departments.
