What were you doing before joining ZenGroup?

I was a nurse at an animal hospital at first. Then, I worked in sales administration in retail until getting into general office work at a transportation company.

Why did you decide to apply to ZenGroup?

I was looking for a workplace with solid benefits where I could work regardless of whether I was married or not, and I thought I could utilize my experience working in a logistics warehouse.

How would you describe the workplace environment at ZenGroup?

The fixed holidays depend on the day of the week, making it easy to plan personal schedules. Additionally, as long as it doesn’t interfere with work, there are no restrictions on hairstyles or nails, so everyone, including part-time staff, works in casual attire.

Which part of your personality do you think fits well with ZenGroup?

The administrative team at the logistics center often goes out into the field, which differs from the general notion of “administration.” This suits me as I don’t like sitting all the time. I also enjoy being deeply involved in the work rather than having a shallow and broad role, as tasks are divided among teams.

What is the most enjoyable part of working at ZenGroup?

Since we don’t talk directly to customers, it’s fun to think ahead and figure out how to meet their needs quickly and accurately with minimal interaction. Also, feeling a sense of accomplishment when my work leads to the approval of exports is gratifying.

Would you recommend working at ZenGroup to your friends? Why?

I think it’s a comfortable place to work, so I would recommend it to those interested in the business.

Can you describe your work, including your team and colleagues?

I work collaboratively with the staff to take pictures of products, check and remove prohibited items, and dispose of unwanted items at the customer’s request. Since we don’t talk directly to customers, we constantly think about how to meet their needs quickly and accurately with minimal interaction. In addition, I handle procedures for joining and leaving the company and ordering supplies.

Do you have any memorable experiences where your colleagues supported or cooperated with you?

Since we operate as one team across the entire logistics center, there’s always cooperation! Of course, I also contribute wherever I can.

When you think of ZenGroup, what word comes to mind?

Freedom. The company is rapidly growing and seems capable of transforming into any shape.

What do you think is the appeal of ZenGroup?

The ability to convey Japanese culture to the world and find value in unexpected products. The company has nothing but potential for growth.

Are there any unique benefits, growth opportunities, or work-life balance initiatives at ZenGroup that you find attractive?

Every three months, we set goals and reconfirm our desired state, allowing us to see the tangible results achieved by our department after three months. This helps us recognize growth that we might not notice in our day-to-day work. There’s a compliance hotline, which feels approachable (though I haven’t used it yet), making it easy to consult with someone when needed.

We work on holidays, but in return, the company provides its own paid leave, potentially offering more annual holidays than the average company. Leave requests are never denied, so it’s common for someone to be off any day of the week.
