The Role of the Logistics Center at ZenGroup
The ZenGroup Logistics Center is the “heart” of our operations, ensuring that international customers can purchase Japanese products with peace of mind and receive them reliably. ZenGroup centrally manages the entire logistics flow—from receiving products to inspection, storage, picking, packing, and shipping. To ensure customers are satisfied, it is important to place a high priority on reducing lead times between receipt and dispatch. Our high-speed response contributes significantly to the overall customer satisfaction ZenGroup’s logistics center goes beyond simply moving goods; we ensure “products arrive exactly as expected, safely, and on time.”
Team Roles and Workflow
[Receiving Team] When a product arrives at the warehouse, members on the Receiving Team are the first to respond . Beyond verifying the product name, model number, color, and size against the order, they carefully check for quality issues, such as external damage or missing accessories. Once inspected, items are quickly shelved and registered with precise location data in our system, ensuring a smooth handoff to the next stage.

[Packing Team] Based on the parcel details provided by the customer, the Packing Team members pick items from storage and begin the packing process. Since international shipping can be costly, ZenGroup is mindful of ” packing as compactly, lightly, and safely as possible.” Making use of customized boxes to fit product sizes and strategize the most efficient layouts helps minimize the shipping cost burden for Zencustomers.

[Shipping Team] The Shipping Team picks packed parcels, attaches necessary documents like shipping labels and invoices, and hands them over to international carriers. One of ZenGroup’s greatest strengths is “on-time shipping without delays.” To achieve this, we organize staffing and task management, constantly optimizing the workflow. This role requires a high level of responsibility and focus as the final stage of the process.
[Relisting Team] The Relisting Team handles products that could not be shipped internationally and prepares them for domestic resale. By carefully checking the condition of each item, we ensure that nothing goes to waste.
Our “Non-Negotiables”: The Logistics Center’s Pride
The ultimate mission of the Logistics Center is to “protect the experience of safely purchasing Japanese products.” Each team approaches their daily tasks with specific “standards” to achieve this:
- Receiving Team: Exceptional inspection skills that are both fast and detail-oriented. The goal is to ensure customers are never disappointed when their package arrives.
- Packing Team: Expertise in compact and safe packing, balancing cost reduction with maximum security.
- Shipping Team: Constant optimization of time and personnel to ensure every parcel leaves on schedule—coordinated with the precision of a puzzle.
- Relisting Team: Meticulous condition checks to provide products at fair prices and minimize waste.

Every step of the process is indispensable and handled with unwavering commitment. Furthermore, ZenGroup offers a “Photo Service”. This service allows customers to confirm the condition of their items before international shipping. Our staff takes photos of the actual products according to individual requests, keeping in mind the customer’s perspective and the “why” behind their request.
Systems and Training for Quality Packing
Because we handle a vast variety of items, we provide visual manuals with photos for different packing methods. We also ensure that specific customer requests are strictly followed, clarifying any ambiguities before proceeding. Even after training, we maintain an open culture where “it’s okay to ask questions as many times as you need,” ensuring an environment where the best packing practices are always followed.
Daily Initiatives for Speed and Accuracy

- Quantifying work speed and productivity.
- Analyzing root causes of errors and providing corrective guidance.
- Standardizing double-check procedures.
- Setting individual goals based on personal strengths. Our Logistic centers on the balance between quality and efficiency to ensure stable performance across the entire floor.
Working Environment and Facilities
The Logistics Center is fully air-conditioned (heating and cooling), and both the workspace and break rooms are kept spotless.
- Free beverages (vending machines).
- Comfortable break spaces.
- A system that encourages frequent breaks.
We are making an effort to overturn the image of “harsh warehouse work” by providing a clean and comfortable environment. The team spans a wide age range, from people in their late 20s to those in their 60s, offering a place for everyone to excel regardless of age.

People and Team Atmosphere
ZenGroup staff come from diverse backgrounds, including not only the logistics industry but also culinary arts, factory work, and more. We foster an “at-home” atmosphere where natural communication is encouraged and people of all ages find it easy to connect. Our culture of “never leaving a question unanswered” is the foundation of our strong teamwork.
Perception vs. Reality: Life at the Logistics Center
Many members initially imagined the warehouse to be “dirty, hot/cold, and physically grueling.” However, after joining, they noticed a positive gap:
- Clean and climate-controlled.
- Easy to take breaks.
- Work that can be adjusted to one’s age and physical strength.
