We celebrated our 10th anniversary on April 1, 2024, with a commemoration party. At the celebration, speeches were given by our CEOs and employees. In our seventh post, we will introduce a speech from one of our CEOs, Kopyl Oleksandr Sashko.
1.Gratitude to Japan
I’d like to talk about my motivation when I started ZenGroup and how it is now.
I started working at the age of 27 after graduating from university.
My first job was in translation. The salary was low, and there was little potential for career advancement. Back then, I wanted to increase my income and do something interesting.
I believed that ZenGroup had that potential, and my friends and I founded it. We have been experiencing rapid growth and it is a rewarding experience.
As ZenGroup grew, I realized that our services were also needed by society. We support many domestic retailers. Moreover, the larger our company becomes, the more we contribute to the Japanese economy.
I have been living in Japan for 17 years now, and Japan has become my second home. I am happy to be able to give back to Japan through my current work. Therefore, my current motivation is to expand the company and contribute to Japan’s growth.
2.Company success leads to personal success
You all know our mission, right?
“To bring 20% of the world’s cross-border EC sales to Japan.”
I believe that if our employees work together towards that goal, we can achieve it within the next 10 years. However, as I have experienced myself, we often prioritize our livelihoods before considering our company’s mission.
However, livelihoods and the company’s mission can actually be achieved simultaneously.
Let me give you a concrete example:
Suppose ZenMarket exports 100,000 items per month.
If we can save even 1 yen in operation costs per item, it will result in a profit of 100,000 yen per month. That’s 1 million yen per year.
How do you think the company will use that 1 million yen?
It might be used for marketing.
It might be used for hiring.
It might be used for bonuses.
It might be used for internal events.
In short, it would be used for business expansion and improving our employee’s conditions.
If our company grows tenfold, that 1 yen will become 10 million yen annually.
If the saved amount is not 1 yen but 100 yen, the outcome is already clear.
Both our representatives and all of our employees should keep in mind that business expansion and operational improvements in our daily work can help ZenGroup grow faster.
And as we grow, surely your living standards will also improve.
In conclusion, I want to say our company’s success is part of individual success which also contributes to society.
I look forward to working together with all of our employees for the next 10 years and achieving greatness together.

The sixth speaker, Naumov Andriy compared the past 10 years of ZenGroup to now, but the seventh speaker, Kopyl Oleksandr Sashko talked about the company’s growth and contribution to Japanese society. Next time, we will introduce a speech by an employee from the Logistics Center Department located in East Osaka.
