“Attracted by the highly flexible work environment and the atmosphere of the people who gather there”
— What were you doing before joining ZenGroup? Also, why did you decide to apply to ZenGroup?
Before joining the company, I was living in Malaysia, not Japan, and working at a restaurant run by a friend of my father’s. When I returned to Japan and came to Osaka, I was looking for a job while thinking about what kind of workplace would suit me. When I came across ZenGroup, I felt that the highly flexible work environment and the atmosphere of the people working there would be a great fit for me, so I decided to apply.
“The joy of encountering different genres of products every day and expanding my knowledge”

—Can you tell us about your specific duties in your department and what you find rewarding?
I belong to the “Purchasing Team” of the Purchasing Department, where I am responsible for purchasing products from various e-commerce sites such as Amazon, Yahoo! Shopping, Rakuten, Rakuma, and Mercari. In addition to this, we split other duties among our team members, such as “ticket response” to resolve questions and requests from end-users, and exchanging messages with sellers on flea market apps.
I feel my personality—being good at steadily moving things forward and taking flexible action—is a perfect fit for this Purchasing Department. My favorite part of the job is being able to handle products of different genres every day, from watches, fishing gear, books, parts, and daily goods (even some high-end items that are beyond my own reach). It is highly fascinating and rewarding to make new discoveries like “Wow, does this kind of product exist in Japan?!” and to see my knowledge of various things grow day by day.
“A relaxed team where we can easily consult and support each other in times of need”
— What is the team atmosphere like? Do you have any stories of cooperating with colleagues?
The atmosphere in our team is very positive, making it a workplace where we can work in a relaxed manner. Previously, I faced a customer service situation that was difficult to handle on my own. I was extremely troubled about what to do, but when I consulted my colleagues, they gladly cooperated, and I was able to successfully complete the task. Although we often work individually in the Purchasing Department, there is a well-established environment where we follow up and help each other when someone is in trouble. Since we can immediately consult about anything we do not know and support one another, we can work with peace of mind.
“A truly ‘global’ environment with a diverse range of members and various languages spoken”
— How would you describe the company in one word? Also, what do you find appealing about ZenGroup?
I believe “global” is the perfect word to describe it. Staff of highly diverse nationalities are registered here, and with various languages spoken around the office, it is highly enjoyable to work here every day. Having many opportunities to learn directly about foreign lifestyles and news makes me feel truly glad that I joined this company.
The points I find particularly appealing are being able to communicate with colleagues of diverse nationalities, the generous employee benefits and services designed with staff in mind, and the ease of consulting someone whenever I have a concern. From the perspective of our services, I think our company has a major appeal in that clients can “trade with peace of mind” due to our attentive customer support and simple procedures. Since it is extremely rare in Japan to find a workplace where you can enjoy working while interacting with people from so many different countries, I would highly recommend ZenGroup to any of my friends who are looking for a job.
“A workplace where you get both ease of working and opportunities for growth”
— Please tell us about the workplace environment, unique benefits, and growth opportunities?
The support for ensuring that employees can work comfortably and enjoyably is extremely comprehensive. This includes temperature control, cleanliness in the office, and consideration for interpersonal relationships, as well as a “consultation form” for discussing concerns, and “language classes (Japanese/English)” for those who want to learn.
Additionally, we have many unique initiatives, such as daily drip coffee, fruit days where we can enjoy seasonal fruits, and club activities (like the day camp club and karaoke club) where members with shared hobbies gather.
There are also great growth opportunities to deepen our understanding of operations. Along with various training programs, we have a training period at our logistics center where we can experience the actual workflow and environment. This also serves as a great opportunity to connect with members working at other locations. Experiencing a different site firsthand has deepened my understanding of daily operations and has been a highly valuable experience for my work. Furthermore, we have company trips to places like Awaji Island, Mie, and Wakayama, where we can enjoy beautiful scenery and delicious food with a large group. It’s an excellent environment where we can value both our work and personal lives.
“It is very rare in Japan to find a workplace where you can communicate with people from so many different countries”

— Closing Message (Recommendation to Friends)
A workplace where a diverse range of members are registered and various languages are spoken is truly global. Getting to learn about the colorful cultures of each country allows us to experience a stimulating and exciting atmosphere while staying in Japan. Since it is extremely rare in Japan to find a workplace where you can communicate with people from so many different countries, being able to work in this environment is a truly outstanding appeal.
