“Transitioning from Hotel Sales in Kyoto! A Passionate Desire to ‘Spread Japanese Culture and Products to the World’”
— What were you doing before joining ZenGroup? Also, why did you decide to apply to ZenGroup?
Before joining ZenGroup, I worked in sales at a hotel in Kyoto.
I worked there for about three years. Since my hotel days, I had always wanted to spread Japanese culture and products to people overseas a bit more, which is why I joined ZenGroup.
“Promoting Overseas Sales Expansion in Collaboration with Companies and Local Governments! Working with a Global Mindset”

— Can you tell us about your specific duties in your department and what you find rewarding?
My team assists those who want to expand their sales channels overseas with their promotions, so I usually work with various people, including corporate clients and local government officials. In addition, with colleagues from different countries, I am able to work within a very global mindset.
“A Free Environment Where ‘You Can Do What You Think Is Right’! Collaborating with Other Departments to Speak at Seminars”
— What is the team atmosphere like? Do you have any stories of cooperating with colleagues?
There is a lot of freedom in a good sense, and with many multinational people working together, I feel it provides a very valuable experience. I am the type who likes to think freely, so being told I can essentially do what I think is right is the best fit for me. We often interact with the neighboring ZenPlus department, and they frequently introduce clients to us, or we co-host seminars to talk about ZenGroup and cross-border e-commerce, creating great opportunities by cooperating with each other.
“In One Word, a ‘Free Corporate Culture’! The Meticulous Strategies to Deliver Japanese Culture Are the Biggest Appeal”
— How would you describe the company in one word? Also, what do you find appealing about ZenGroup?
The number one thing is definitely the free corporate culture. There are few companies that have such meticulously planned strategies regarding the work of delivering Japanese culture to people overseas, and I find that aspect incredibly appealing.
“Weekend BBQs and Gaming Tournaments with Everyone! A Fun Environment with Plenty of Company Events to Connect with Various People”
— Please tell us about the ease of working, unique benefits, and growth opportunities.
There are many things, but since there are quite a few drinking parties and company events, it’s fun to participate in them outside of work and talk to various people. There are many company events, going to BBQs, drinking parties, or having gaming tournaments on weekends with everyone—things I didn’t experience much at my previous companies—makes this aspect of the benefits highly attractive.
“A Free Company Where You Can ‘Properly Shape What You Want to Do.’ Highly Recommended for Those Who Love to Talk!”

— Closing Message (Recommendation to Friends)
It is a free company where you can find what you want to do and properly shape it. Also, since there are many people around me who want to work with those who love to talk, I think I can highly recommend it for that reason.
