Greetings from the ZenGroup Recruitment Team! On June 5, 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming 37 students majoring in IT-related fields from a university in Norway to our Osaka office. The visit included a company introduction, an office tour, employee presentations, and a networking lunch. It provided students with an opportunity not only to learn more about ZenGroup’s business, but also to gain firsthand insights into what it’s really like to relocate to and work in Japan. Interestingly, this university organizes company visits whenever its students travel to Japan. This year, they chose ZenGroup as one of their destinations among many organizations, and we were delighted to host them. Here’s a look back at the day!
Welcome to ZenGroup!

We kicked off the visit with an introduction to ZenGroup, sharing an overview of our business and the diverse, international environment that defines our workplace. With team members from around the world bringing a wide range of backgrounds, we highlighted how diversity contributes to our culture and success. Following the company presentation, one of our Norwegian employees shared their personal journey of relocating to Japan and building a career at ZenGroup. We also hosted a session led by two international members of our Marketing Team, who introduced the tools, applications, and automated workflows they use in their day-to-day work, giving students studying IT-related fields a deeper understanding of how our teams work and collaborate in practice.
Exploring a Global Workplace
One of the most memorable parts of the visit was seeing the students’ reactions during the employee presentations. Some of the questions to our Norwegian colleague included:
- “How much Japanese could you speak when you first came to Japan?”
- “What does a typical workday look like?”
The discussion sparked a great deal of curiosity, and some students were surprised to learn about the differences between working styles and working hours in Japan and Norway.

After the Marketing Team’s session, students also asked questions such as:
- “How do the Engineering and Marketing teams collaborate with each other?”
These conversations reflected a strong interest in real-world workflows, cross-functional teamwork, and the day-to-day realities of working in a global company—topics that particularly resonated with students pursuing careers in IT.

Networking Lunch

The second half of the event featured an office tour followed by a networking lunch with our employees. At each table, conversations flowed naturally across a wide range of topics. Discussions ranged from cultural differences and local sightseeing recommendations to business opportunities connecting the Nordic region and Japan. Watching people of different nationalities and generations connect so effortlessly felt like a perfect reflection of ZenGroup’s culture.
Our employees also shared positive feedback about the experience:

Employees from various departments, including Sales and Marketing, participated in the lunch session, and many shared that the conversations gave them a fresh perspective. The event proved to be a valuable experience not only for the students, but also for our team members.
Closing Thoughts
One thing this visit reminded us of is how meaningful it can be when people connect across cultures and borders. At ZenGroup, our team is made up of people from a wide variety of countries and regions around the world. During this visit, we saw Norwegian students and our multicultural team members engaging in open conversations, exchanging ideas, and learning from one another. These moments of international connection reflect the mission that drives us every day: bringing the world closer together. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the students and faculty members who visited us from Norway. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to creating opportunities for cross-cultural learning, collaboration, and connection. We look forward to supporting the future success of these talented students and to continuing our mission of connecting people around the world.
