“From a university in Oita to ZenGroup in Osaka! What Attracted Me to a Multicultural Workplace”

— What were you doing before joining ZenGroup? Also, why did you decide to apply to ZenGroup?

Before joining ZenGroup and moving to Osaka, I was pursuing my bachelor’s degree at a university in Oita. I was first contacted by a recruiter from ZenGroup. When I researched the company, I realized that ZenGroup was very similar to my university in terms of having many foreign employees, which was incredibly appealing to me at the time.

“From Graphic Design to Coding: The Joy of Taking on New Challenges to Grow Professionally”

— Can you tell us about your specific duties in your department and what you find rewarding?

I currently work as a Web Designer in the Design Team of the Creative Department. Our work includes creating graphic designs, web page designs, and coding for all of ZenGroup’s services, such as ZenMarket and ZenPlus. At ZenGroup, new ideas are valued and listened to. Therefore, instead of doing the same things in the same way, we are encouraged to try new things to improve efficiency and quality while learning new skills and developing our professional expertise.

“A Team Learning from Each Other’s Strengths! Working in a Comfortable and Warm Space Surrounded by Plushies and Greenery”

— What is the team atmosphere like? Do you have any stories of cooperating with colleagues?

It’s truly comfortable. I’m so happy to work alongside cute plushies! My colleagues also have plushies, plants, and figurines on their desks, so walking around the office is lots of fun!

My teammates are all talented designers, each with their own unique strengths and backgrounds. Personally, I believe it takes an open-minded personality to get along with others at work, as well as an active attitude toward embracing changes in our tasks. It’s so much fun to learn new things from one another.

Of course there are! It’s hard to choose just one, but something comes to mind. I mentioned that I am in the design team, but before that, I actually worked as a Vietnamese marketer in the ZenMarket section. When I requested a department transfer to pursue a new career path, my colleagues and my manager at the time warmly supported me and fully cooperated with HR and other adjustments. I am truly grateful to them.

“The Keywords are ‘Collaboration’ and ‘Growth’: Where Diverse Backgrounds Meet to Spark Innovative Ideas”

— How would you describe the company in one word? Also, what do you find appealing about ZenGroup?

I would say “collaboration” and “growth.” For me, the most appealing part is the international environment here at ZenGroup. Aside from the fact that having international colleagues is fun, when our different backgrounds and cultures come together, it increases the potential for many innovative and creative ideas to be born.

“Accumulating Paid Leave for Long-term Visits Home! An Environment with the ‘Greatest Advantage’ for Foreign Employees in Japan”

— Please tell us about the ease of working, unique benefits, and growth opportunities.

At ZenGroup, Japanese national holidays are not off-days. However, that equivalent number of days is calculated and added to our annual paid leave. For foreign employees working in Japan, I believe this is the greatest advantage. Being able to accumulate this leave and visit my home country is definitely a plus for my work-life balance.

“A Welcoming Workplace for New Ideas where We Grow Together”

— Closing Message (Recommendation to Friends)

Yes, absolutely! ZenGroup has a company culture that listens to new ideas, and you can learn so much from colleagues with different cultural backgrounds. It is an environment where you can grow personally while receiving warm support.
