Last month, the ZenGroup Hiring Team held our second Company Information Session! This time, the main theme was “Discovering the True Meaning of Diversity.” During the event, we introduced ZenGroup’s unique initiatives and internal policies while giving participants the opportunity to experience the real atmosphere of the company by speaking directly with our employees.
At ZenGroup, Diversity Is the Norm
ZenGroup is home to members from over 30 different countries, but our diversity goes far beyond nationality. From PRIDE Committee members to working parents balancing career and family life, as well as employees with diverse religions, values, and lifestyles, our company truly embraces a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives.
Company Information Session Highlights
One of the main highlights of the session was the LGBTQ+ lecture and the casual panel discussion featuring our employees. The lecture was based on the same training all ZenGroup employees receive and included an introduction to LGBTQ+ topics as well as a workshop on “unconscious bias” — the hidden assumptions and perspectives we all naturally carry. During the panel discussion, members from our global teams, PRIDE Club members, and working parents shared their honest experiences and perspectives about working at ZenGroup.
Connecting Freely: Tea Time & Chat
Following the panel discussion, participants had time to freely mingle with both each other and the panelists. This gave everyone a chance to ask questions openly — from specific job responsibilities and workplace culture to how employees actually make use of company benefits in their daily lives. Because of the unique backgrounds of this session’s panelists, some groups had particularly deep discussions about the realities of balancing work and childcare. Many participants seemed to really enjoy these conversations, and some even asked for additional time to continue speaking with our employees. While candidates often have opportunities to speak with HR representatives, it is much rarer to have such open and direct conversations with employees themselves. We were very happy to see participants enjoying this part of the event so much, and we hope to create even more opportunities for these kinds of conversations in future sessions.
In Closing
Rather than feeling like a one-way company presentation, this information session became a space where we could naturally share the sense of belonging and mutual respect that exists at ZenGroup. We hope our guests were able to experience at least a small part of that atmosphere.
