Earlier this month, our HR planning team hosted a cherry blossom viewing event for employees from both our head office and logistics center. We were thrilled to welcome over 100 participants who came together to enjoy delicious food, drinks, and relaxed conversations with colleagues from across departments. To ensure convenience for everyone, we held the event in two separate locations, each within walking distance from either the head office or the logistics center.
Around the world, Japan is known for its stunning cherry blossoms, or sakura, which mark the beautiful beginning of spring. In Japanese culture, sakura symbolizes renewal and fresh starts, as April signifies not only the new school year but also the start of many professional journeys. This season is also a reminder of the momentary nature of life—what the Japanese call “hakanai” (儚い)—and how important it is to pause and appreciate the moment, as the blossoms last only for a short time.
As ZenGroup continues to grow—welcoming over 40 new team members last year—our HR team is putting special effort into creating opportunities for meaningful connection among ZenMembers. We believe that nurturing communication and encouraging positive interaction outside of work help build a happier, more motivated workplace.
